Antoni Clavé developed his activity in practically all artistic fields: painting, engraving, lithography, collage, sculpture and photography.

His evolution to abstraction was unstoppable. From the 1950s onwards, content becomes less important, while texture and the visual aspects of the environment and background come to the fore.
