Bosco Sodi is known for his use of raw and natural materials to create large-scale paintings and textured objects. Sodi has discovered an emotive power in the essential simplicity of his materials and in the living pigments from which he draws.

Sodi’s artistic practice, both pictorial and sculptural, is based on the expression of the materials, as well as their cultural, symbolic and historical burdens. The resulting pieces are unique legacies of the interaction between the raw material and the environment, and bear the imprint not only of the artist, but also of the natural components of the raw material.
