Provenance: collected in Monumbo Bay between 1887 and 1889 by Arthur Baessler (1857-1907), Eberswalde, Germany; then Linden-Museum collection, Stuttgart (inv. no. I.C. 6025); then probably Ludwig Bretschneider, Munich; Harry A. Franklin, Beverly Hills, U.S.A. Sold in 1969 to an American private collection.

Old inscription: “I.C. 6025. Potsdam-Hafen. Dr. Bässler”
